Helen FAY

Biography

Helen Fay exhibits regularly at the Islington Art Fair, London (GPS & Compass Gallery). She is a member of the SSA (Society of Scottish Artists) Her work is held by galleries across Britain, and is represented in the New Hall Art Collection, Cambridge, St Thomas' Hospital, London and in private collections world-wide.

  • 1986-87 - Newcastle College of Art and Design, Foundation Studies
  • 1987-90 - Sunderland University BA Hons Fine Art (Printmaking)
  • 1990-92 - Royal College of Art, London MA(RCA) Natural History Illustration
  • 1990 - British Museum of Natural History: course on Natural History
  • 1992 - Sheila Robertson Memorial Prize for Drawing, RCA
  • 1993 - Front Cover and illustrations for New Scientist
  • 1994 - Northern Arts Travel Award: drawing trip to Northern India and visit to Rajasthan Cultural Research Institute
  • 1996 - Cupola Gallery, Sheffield Fifth Anniversary exhibition - first prize, Visit to Juan y Pilar Miro Foundation, Mallorca, representing Oxford Printmakers Co-operative
  • 1997 - Drawing trip and visits to printmaking studios in Victoria and South Australia, Moved to Glasgow, work base at Glasgow Print Studio
  • 2000 - Drawing trip to San Diego Zoo, USA
  • 2002 - Work illustrated in Lifestyle section of Sunday Times newspaper
