Professor Ronald Mavor, CBE (1925 - 2007) Selected Paintings 28 October - 05 November 2007 Selected WorksRonald Mavor CBE (1925 - 2007) [more]Professor Ronald Mavor – Bingo to his friends – died in France, at the home of his daughter Ingrid, on 9 August this year. Bingo returned to his native Glasgow from Saskatchewan, Canada in 1990, and quickly settled into his new role as west-ender. A prolific painter, he was very supportive of the gallery, and exhibited here, and with the Glasgow Group. James and Ingrid, his son and daughter, are co-ordinating a memorial tribute to be held in the Cottier Theatre, Hyndland on Tuesday 30 October, 12.30 – 4.30pm. To accompany this, the gallery will present a selection of his paintings, for his family and friends, which can be viewed from Sunday 28 until Tuesday 30 October, as follows: |
